Kale Pesto Pizza

if using store-bought dough let it rest at room temperature for at least one hour for best results 

Cooking Time





whole wheat or multi grain pizza dough 

1/2 Cup of olive oil 

1/2 cup of walnuts 

2 cups of kale (torn with ribs removed) 

1 1/2 salt all purpose flour 

cooking spray 

cheese (leave out for vegan pizza) 

toppings (choose any or all or swap out your favorites) mushrooms roasted peppers olives cheeses (bleu, feta, mozzarella, provolone, cheddar) tomatoes onions broccoli 



Preheat oven to 450 degrees

For Kale Pesto: add first 4 ingredients in order to a blender. Blend until smooth. Set aside. 

Take dough in sections and roll into ball, then stretch without tearing into an oblong shape

On a floured surface, roll out dough until desired thinness with your hands, a rolling pin or drinking glass. 

Transfer to cookie sheet or pizza stone sprayed with cooking spray or light coated with olive oil

Lightly spread pesto over dough

top with toppings 

bake for 10 minutes or until crust is light brown

top with parmesan if desired
