1 Can of salmon
1/2 box of whole wheat pasta
2 cloves or 1 large clove of garlic
1/3 cup of walnuts
1/4 of olive oil
2 C of fresh spinach
1/4 t salt
1/4 cup of parmesan cheese split in 2
small dash of red pepper flakes (optional)
dash of black pepper
Add garlic, walnuts and spinach to blender or food processor (in that order)
Blend on high, drizzling in oil, salt, peppers and parm intermittently.
Scrape down blender/processor and set pesto aside
Boil pasta according to direction
when done drain reserving 2T of pasta water.
Add pesto to pasta and water and mix thoroughly.
top with flaked salmon and 1/2 of parm.
